Diving diving diving....

Hello, we hear the summer finally kicked in back home, hope it lasts : )

I have been crazy busy diving like mad every day, its been awesome!!! Gabe and i have literally been all over the island in the past week, loads of great wreck and reef dives in front of Waikiki, shore dives off the north shore, and even more wreck dives off the west side and Hawaii Kai! A great mixture of boat wrecks, planes, and even a landing craft. Have met loads of cool divers, seen dozens of turtles and octopus, a few sharks and 1 great big monk seal (very endangered species!) and of course loads of funky looking fishes whose names I am still trying to learn. Have seen loads of dolphins on the surface but none diving as yet, they are spinner dolphins so they really show off and do lots of jumps for us.

On Wednesday afternoon we headed to the centre of the island where nick played a round of golf and I drove the crazy cart, it really was like being in Jurassic Park!! The course was stunning and we really enjoyed the views. I only have 3 more exams to go and today I led my first dive, Gabe didn't even tag along in case I got lost, hes very brave! I was pretty nervous but was leading a very relaxed Irish guy, thanks again Paul! And the visibility was a good 75 feet which helped and I didnt get lost once!!!! It went really well and I was relieved to find the boat where I was hoping it would be! We are off out on a booze cruise tonight, followed by a day off tomorrow, yay!!!! Nick has been hitting the beach lots and has been at the Hawaii Convention centre a bit this week representing b.e.a.c.h. We are heading to the north shore again on sunday for more shore diving and this time taking the bbq to enjoy the beach afterwards. Take care, loads of love, Nic and Nick xxx
